Our Writing Services
Web Writing
We write original web content or adapt existing company materials to web style for our clients, either as part of designing and developing websites for them or as a stand-alone service.
For Family Eye Care of Apex, an eye care practice in Apex, North Carolina, we wrote on-line information on a variety of eye conditions for the doctors to refer their patents to.
Books & E-Books
We write books and e-books for hire as well as designing and laying them out. Our books are meticulously researched and include:
- Full color photo illustration, with photographs and graphics either provided by the client or produced by us
- Fine layout and design
- Full indexes and bibliographies
This page is an example from one of our books, Silenced Scream: A Visual History of the 1989 Tiananmen Protests. This is one of a number of full-color illustrated history books that we have produced for organizations and individuals. We have produced books on the environment, family histories, the Civil War, China, World War II, the Great Depression and are currently in production on several others, including an art book, a cookbook, and a book on Beijing, China.
We provide all or part of the work, as needed, involved in the research, writing, editing and design of books, e-books, and other similar documents, including arranging with a book printer for the printing. The printing cost is in addition to our fee and is dependent on what a chosen printer charges.
Book Organizing, Collaborating, Editing, Proofreading
We are experienced editors with more than 25 years of experience and do editing and proofreading of books, especially history books, in addition to writing and researching books. We also collaborate with authors to bring their books into publishable form.
We collaborated with Claude Kidd and his daughter, Cindy Coffey, to write and publish this book, Sunny Side Up: Memoirs of the Great Depression and World War II, about Claude’s experience growing up in the Depression and being a prisoner of war in Poland during World War II. Cindy had written down many of Claude’s memories of that period in his life. We conducted extensive interviews with Claude as well and combined the transcripts from them with Cindy’s work into a polished, photo-illustrated narrative of Claude’s experiences.
